We are kate & jill
We met through similar circumstances of a blind date in 2012. To our surprise we had so much in common that we easily talked about everything and anything for over 3 hours (we're pretty sure that's way longer and more comfortable than blind dates usually go!) and honestly, we just haven't stopped talking since! (There's rarely a quiet moment between us, we really do like to talk!)
Within our own separate businesses, we often worked together, generally leading to casual jokes about how we were a dream team and we should just join forces! After three long years of talking over the logistics and creating a brand we would be proud of, kate & jill was born!
When kate & jill was created, we set out to break the mold from what we saw with other wedding photographers. We didn't want our couples to feel uncomfortable during an hour of posing and smiling at the camera, (trust us, when you feel uncomfortable, we can tell!) we wanted to be able to create natural & effortless images for them. We strive to create real moments between our couples with real emotions.
(Disclaimer: due to the nature of our business, there will be lots of laughing, squealing, silly games, lots of movement and fun and the sudden inability to hide your true selves from our cameras.)

Oh hey! I’m Kate! I am one half of the heart and soul that makes up our duo. I love being creative in any art form, so photography just felt so natural to me from the beginning. When I'm not photographing people, you can usually find me singing & dancing with my family in the kitchen, taking walks in the woods or reading thriller books. I am a naturally positive & spontaneous person who is always craving the unusual. I am also the wife of my best friend and high school sweetheart, Dave, and a very proud mama of Annalise, Nora & Milo.

Hey guys! I’m Jill, the other half of this great big dream! I have very busy twin boys, Kyle & Troy, who keep me thoroughly entertained. I’m a newlywed to the love of my life and my heart has never been happier than it is now. I’m a lover of casual fashion, animals (all of them, I don’t discriminate), driving to Ocean City for pizza on the boardwalk, & booking Airbnbs on a whim for a weekend away.

We are New Jersey photographers for the wildly in love.
We might not be the perfect fit for everyone, and that’s okay! First, we aren't the photographers who are going to pose your every move. We are so much more into the messy, raw, and REAL. Give us all in between moments over the scripted ones any day (but don’t worry, we’ll still help you along the way!). Second, we want to be MORE than just your wedding photographers, we want to be your friends. We want you to see your photos afterwards and think "wow, they really saw us"
