We love shooting in the city, especially when we get to shoot Philadelphia Engagement sessions in unique locations and even better, locations that mean something to the couple. Lauren & Brian nailed their location choice!

Let’s set the scene. Brian is working his first job right out of college, an accounting firm based in Philly. One day, in walks a group of new hires. Among all those people, Brian sees only one, Lauren. (How romantic is the story already?) As fate would have it, Lauren is hired and her cubicle is right next to Brian’s! But guess what? They only stayed friends. (We know, typical romantic story, now tell us the moment they get to fall in love! 😉 ) One day, Brian told Lauren he was leaving the company and Lauren’s immediate and surprising response of sadness was when they knew this may be something more than a friendship. Fast forward to their perfect proposal- Lauren had just gotten off the plane from a bachelorette weekend getaway and knew she and Brian had dinner plans set for that night. She quickly got home and began to get ready. As she finished dressing, it started pouring cats and dogs so Brian asked a friend of theirs to pick them up and drop them off to the restaurant. As they sat on the porch watching the rain, waiting for their ride to arrive, Brian said the most perfect words and got down on one knee. Moments later, their friends and family all arrived, the rain stopped and they celebrated in the backyard under the stars.

Lauren and Brian chose to have their engagement session in Philly where they shared their (second) first kiss under a lit tree on Addison street as they walked back to Lauren’s apartment from getting drinks. We encourage (like REALLY encourage) couples to choose locations like this. Not only will it make for unique photos, but it will also bring back those romantic memories and make your engagement session that much more natural and beautiful.
