There are so many brides and grooms who are looking for a unique wedding location that fits the vibe they are dreaming of. Including the whole place to themselves, delicious food, gorgeous scenery and the ability to make it their own. Lexie & Mike’s Thousand Acre Farm wedding had just that and more (and by more, we mean a friendly farm cat or two 😉 )
Lexie & Mike met while both working at a local country club. They had already known each other for 10 years and together for 6 years, so when Mike proposed to Lexie on the front steps on their first home together, it was beautiful timing! Even more fitting and personal, they decided to have half of their engagement session in their home, which made us SO happy! Their session gave us a chance to get to know them better and get a little glimpse into their every day.
Their wedding was no exception to perfectly organized, gorgeous details and some beautiful weather (well, for a large portion of the day, but we don’t mind little rain here and there sometimes.) They chose white and light pink peonies and garden roses complemented by soft greens, which perfectly contrasted the bridesmaids dark blue dresses. They played lawn games and had some beautiful weather leading up to their ceremony (we are so thankful they chose to have a first look so their portraits were taken during a perfectly overcast day) Moments before the guests started arriving, unfortunately, the rain began and decided it wasn’t going anywhere anytime soon, but thankfully the inside made for a great backdrop for their ceremony. Following a delicious dinner, their reception was held inside and outside since the weather cleared up and was the most perfect celebration for a beautiful couple! Thank you, Lexie & Mike, again, for letting us be a part of it!
