Everly at Railroad Wedding

We don’t even know where to start for this Everly at Railroad wedding. Lacey and Sean’s wedding was our first of (hopefully) many weddings there and it couldn’t have started off better.

This love story is one of those actual “Fate” type love stories. What better way to describe it than in the bride’s own words “It all started one night out in Philadelphia. I told one of my best friends since 6th grade, ‘I just want someone who makes me happy and makes me laugh.’ With a half joking, half serious response, he said: ‘Okay, Lace… So, have you met my cousin, Sean?’ Out of Pat’s 14 cousins, Sean was probably the only one I had not met in all of our years of friendship. The moment we met, we immediately connected. Sean likes to claim it was his “smooth lines” that won me over ::cue my sassy eye roll:: But the truth is, we had an undeniable compatibility and attraction. It sounds cliche but our story is serendipitous and filled with perfect, happy coincidences that brought us together. And here we are now.” – Lacey

For the first two months of our official “wedding season” we had 5 weekends worth of threats of all day rain showers every single weekend. To say it was frustrating would be an understatement. But Lacey and Sean’s day started out with beautiful sunny weather that was such perfect timing for their beginning portion of the day.

The day began was an adorable and heartfelt first look in front of the ever so popular “chair wall” (We are pretty sure we just made up this term for the venue but we think it works! Scroll down to see for yourself!) Followed by a little goofing off with their closest friends whom they chose to stand beside them as their wedding party and just enough time to get in some of our favorite bride and groom portraits before the storm clouds rolled in and the downpour began. Now, normally we see brides and grooms run inside to avoid the weather, but not these two. They embraced whatever Mother Nature decided to throw their way on their wedding day, because, well, you only get one chance to live this day and why not make the most of it?! So we danced in the rain and finished up our portrait time before the ceremony began.

Everly at Railroad is one of those venues that you have to see to believe. It’s hard to really describe the beauty of this place without seeing it for yourself. But the perfect addition to the beautiful ceremony space was the pouring rain right behind them as they said their vows. This was all followed by a perfect reception full of happy smiles and tears, heartfelt speeches, and some of the best friends and family who danced along side the happiest bride and groom all night.
