We are so behind on blogging the beautiful weddings and engagements that we have had the honor of documenting, but since we are supposed to be on “vacation”, we decided a fun “behind the scenes” post was needed. So much light testing, photo bombing, waving, iPhone selfies and craziness happens while we work and we need to share it with you! (Oh, this is also the many different hair styles of kate & jill)

In March,  we signed a lease on the cutest space in a big red barn (WHAT!?) It was a book store many years ago and needed to be completely redone but we did it!!

Unique engagement sessions are our favorite.
that one time, we photographed a small intimate wedding and came back to Jill’s car keys in the ignition and a dead battery.

In June we traveled to Florida for one of the most gorgeous weddings.

When you’re trying to round everyone up and no one is listening.Kate is clearly day dreaming about being on the beach.

This is Kate’s signature move. (kate says “I swear, I think I’m running faster than I really am.”)

And this is how you test light.We were right in the middle of the reception when Jill was asked to take some family photos. At that same exact moment, Kate was asked to dance. It’s a balance of work and play.
Kate is the master photo bomber/waver in still photos.

When the thermostat will end up in most of your photos and you will have to edit it out later, you have to pose for a photo with it.
