Diane and David had one of the most perfect wedding days at The Ivy in Delaware. We started the day with the new Taylor Swift album (to be clear, this was being played by a Swifty Groomsman) and a very delicious pizza roll and champagne toast from the ladies. Just from the first hour with everyone, we knew this day would be everything we hoped it would be. We first hung out with Diane and David in their home during their engagement session and we knew from then that we couldn’t wait for their wedding day.

They picked the most perfect venue for what they were looking for. It was really important for them to get married on the water and they ended up picking Ivy partially because of how non-traditional it is (since it used to be a bar/night club), but also because they loved how it’s an indoor/outdoor venue so you don’t just get married on the beach then go inside and forget it’s there, you can get married right on the water then continue to enjoy it all night long. And they really did! While half the guests were dancing inside, the other half continued to enjoy the fresh air and sand between their toes!

We loved all the unique details they incorporated throughout their day. From the table full of photos of them growing up to where they are now with the life they have built together, to their jigsaw puzzle “guestbook” since Diane is crazy over puzzles (you can see that even in their engagement session!) and they danced their first dance on a cloud!
