Cheers! Maria and Brett are engaged! Maria and Brett met at Crossfit 643 and did a partner competition together in June 2016. They started talking here and there and then officially started dating November 2016, and the rest is history! Maria told us “When someone makes you feel like you’re the most beautiful girl in the world every single day, you don’t let that go.” How sweet is that?!

The Proposal

Brett proposed on June 23rd 2018. What Maria had thought to be a spontaneous weekend getaway in Cape May turned into a proposal! They went for a bike ride in the morning, played mini golf and then got ready for their dinner reservations Brett had made. It happened to be a very foggy and gloomy evening and he demanded they walk on the beach to dinner. Maria told Brett she did not want to be a sweaty and gross mess at a nice restaurant and told him he could walk the beach himself. He begged her to at least go get a “sunset” picture with him. She finally gave in after putting up a fight. Once they got onto the boardwalk he had 3 signs leading to the beach and their sweet pup Mikko was waiting at the end with a sign saying “Mom, please say yes!” When Maria turned around he was down on one knee! Her best friend and brother were hiding close by capturing the moment! We love precious proposal stories like this!

This adorable couple chose Goose Island Brewhouse for their engagement session because they love breweries! Their first weekend getaway together was to Chicago where they visited Goose Island Brewhouse. It was only fitting that one opened in Philly so we had to go!

Their fur baby Mikko tagging along for photos made us so happy! He was so well behaved and made for the perfect engagement session accessory!
